The Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyog Yojana (MKUY) document specifies several types of built structures that are eligible for subsidy under the scheme. These structures are meant to support the establishment of agriculture-related enterprises. Here’s a detailed breakdown:

Eligible Built Structures for Agritourism

  1. Agricultural and Processing Infrastructure:

    • Sheds for poultry, dairy, mushroom farming, and other agri-allied activities.

    • Factory/manufacturing/processing sheds for food processing units.

    • Packhouses for post-harvest management, including sorting and grading.

  2. Office and Storage Facilities:

    • Office rooms for administrative activities.

    • Storage rooms (godowns) for storing produce, raw materials, or inputs.

  3. Worker and Utility Facilities:

    • Labour sheds:

      • Maximum sizes based on project cost:

        • 200 sq. ft. for project costs below ₹50 lakh.

        • 250 sq. ft. for project costs between ₹50 lakh and ₹1 crore.

        • 300 sq. ft. for project costs above ₹1 crore.

    • Toilets for workers (though explicitly not mentioned, toilets would generally fall under essential worker facilities and would likely be included under site utilities).

  4. Irrigation and Utility Structures:

    • Pump houses for irrigation.

    • Wells, ponds, borewells, and other water-related structures.

  5. Protected Cultivation Infrastructure:

    • Greenhouses, polyhouses, and net houses for horticultural production.

    • Cold storage units for perishable goods

  6. Supportive Infrastructure:

    • Fencing (barbed wire or solar fencing) for the project site.

    • Composting and pasteurization chambers for mushroom farming.

    • Infrastructure for irrigation, such as drip systems and pipelines.

Non-Eligible Structures

  1. Residential Buildings:

    • Dwelling houses or quarters for residential purposes.

    • Guard rooms or watchman cabins.

  2. Boundary Walls:

    • Masonry compound walls are not eligible for subsidy

  3. Internal Roads:

    • Construction of internal roads is excluded from subsidy.

Restaurant and Tourism Projects

  • Agro-Eco Tourism Projects:

    • For agro-eco tourism projects, infrastructure like restaurants or food courts can be included if they are part of the approved project plan.

    • Facilities for tourists may also include basic utilities such as toilets, parking areas, and display rooms.

Additional Notes

  • Only structures constructed after the issuance of the Go-Ahead Letter are eligible for a subsidy for agritourism.

  • All construction must follow OPWD rates or NABARD-approved cost norms.

  • Structures must directly serve the purpose of the approved agricultural enterprise.

If your project involves specific facilities like restaurants or toilets, ensure they are clearly justified in the Detailed Project Report (DPR) as essential components of the enterprise for the agritourism project.
